New application brings hope for singles looking to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a date
A new social mapping application developed by XibYa wishes to turn the upcoming Valentine’s Day into an opportunity for singles to meet other singles.
The XibYa Groups-Explorer application has been developed to help people find the right match on Facebook. An article published on the Telegraph suggests that social networks are the most popular places to find love. The British newspaper noted that social networks have taken over from pubs and nightclubs as the most popular place to find a date.
By using the group mapping application, users can quickly look through and match their personality to that of their friends’ friends. The Groups-Explorer app presents users with a graphic layout (map) of their Facebook groups. It is aimed at making the whole process of meeting new people through mutual friends and groups much easier, with a lot of fun for everyone involved.
A survey conducted by market research company www.OnePoll.com, indicated that one in four British people are dating – or have dated – someone they met through community websites and over a third have got back in touch with an old flame through the sites.
The XibYa Groups-Explorer takes it another step forwarded by offering this new application that offers an easy and fun way to browse Facebook group’s members by enabling superior viewing of different members, including large profile pictures.
Alon Kor, XibYa co-founder and chief architect explains that: most of your friends are sure to have some single friends on Facebook groups. With the help of XibYa Groups-Explorer, you can access their basic profiles and find new friends. At this point, you are most likely to look for a personality match to find some dating potential. If you have things in common with a friend of a friend, you can easily and naturally extend an invitation to talk directly with him.
